The project

Our aim is to make state-of-the-art personalized oral hygiene information freely available to all, by using modern digital tools.

This web site can be used by dentists and hygienists to create personalized oral hygiene plans for their patients, but also by patients themselves, to access up-to-date evidence-based information about oral hygiene.

The team

The team

The project is led by Professor Mihai Tarce with the help and support of Prof. Ke Deng, Prof. Wai Keung Leung and Prof. Patrick Rijkschroeff (Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, Faculty of Dentistry, The University of Hong Kong).

The hard work and dedication of 6 dentistry students (Charlene Cheuk Yin Chow, Cindy Sin Ying Ho, Enoch Yi Hang Mak, Kelly Kit Ying Sze, Trisha Chan and Yoyo Li Hoi Yiu) have made this project possible. They volunteered their time to help prepare the material and then validate the oral hygiene instructions presented here in a clinical trial. Dr. Sarah Abu Hait, one of our postgraduate students, provided a better understanding of the postgraduate students' needs, ensuring the project is useful to all students.

Finally, the professionalism of our video production team, Vincent Fung Ming Kim, Jaffa Lau Chun Fai and Abby Wan May Yin, and of our senior research assistant, Purvi Anand Vyas, has brought the quality of the instructional videos to a new level, beyond what we initially imagined possible.
